If you couldn't come, find out here what you missed . . .
G&M Epiphany - Sunday Jan 6th 2008 "Roundabout Routes" Where are we in the story of the Magi? (Matthew 2 : 1-12) Like them, we are called to Journey in search of light and truth.
Who are our "guiding lights" as we journey through life and in faith?

G&M 4th in Advent - Sunday Dec 23rd 2007 "The heart of the matter" "He will be called Emmanuel, which means 'God is with us'" (Matthew 1:23)
"God with us" - not God remote and unconnected with the world and our lives, but God who enters into and shares human experience.
A time of joy and excitement for many, Christmas can be a stressful time for some, and a time of loneliness or sad and painful memories. Who do you know who might value some support or companionship this week?
G&M 3rd in Advent - Sunday Dec 16th 2007 "Seeing the light" "The people who walked in darkness have seen a great light" (Isaiah 9:2)
The themes of light and darkness recur through the Nativity narratives. The Fourth Gospel talks in terms of a light that cannot be overcome by darkness. It is in the darkness of the night that the angels bring their message to the shepherds, who in response, hurry to Bethlehem to see the light. Matthew tells of the star that guides the wise.
G&M 2nd in Advent - Sunday Dec 9th 2007 "It could be you . . . " John the Baptist is the focus on the 2nd Sunday in Advent. His lifestyle was as simple as the message that he brought - "Change your life. God's Kingdom is here" (Matthew 3)
There are other messengers of God in the Christmas stories - Angels who bring God's message to the various characters.
Have a look at the "angel" passages and think again about the messages that they bring.
(Luke 1:8-20; Luke 1:26-38; Luke 2:8-16; Matthew 2:13-14)
Who most needs to hear Good News today and who are God's messengers? Could it be that you are the angel that someone else is waiting for this week?
G&M Advent - Sunday Dec 2nd 2007 "Promises, Promises" It's traditional on the first Sunday in Advent to think about the promises of God through the prophets.
Have a look at words from Isaiah and think again about the comfort and hope that was brought to the people in God's promise of the Special One, the Messiah. (Isaiah 2:1-5 & 11:1-10 & 25:6-8 & 35:1-10)
Where do you see signs of hope and promise in our world today?
