The Godly Play Project - Phase 1
Godly Play is an interactive and creative method of presenting the stories of our faith. Each story is told in a particular way, using carefully thought-out words and resources. Godly Play offers a safe environment in which to reflect and respond, both individually and by "wondering together". Although Godly Play was initially designed for children and young people, it is now widely used by people of all ages and all stages of faith.

The Church Council in August 2008 approved a proposal to create a dedicated Godly Play room at Forest. This will create the exciting opportunity to offer experiences of Godly Play, not only to the children and young people of our church family, but hopefully also, beyond the church and across the island.

Phase 1 (August-December 2008) is about preparing the room and collecting resources.

There's a possibility that we'll move to a bigger room later, but this is the room where we're going to begin . .

As you can see, there's a fair amount of work to be done -

Watch this space to see the transformation in progress . . . !!

after a time of preparation . . painting of the room begins (Nov 08)

Dec 08 update - new carpet ordered; paint chosen and painting well underway . . .
